Survivors often blame themselves for abuse. In reality, responsibility lies with the person who chose to act harmfully.

A therapeutic space is a place where we can finally give ourselves permission to slow down. It is a place to remind, to remember, to retrain, and to release. Healing is not linear. Some days will feel heavier than others. Even when you can't see it, progress is happening in quiet ways, every day. You may be realizing you no longer fit in spaces you once found comfortable. It is okay to grow beyond those walls.
Connection shouldn't demand you shrink down smaller. You are allowed to take up space with your thoughts, feelings, & words. Healing doesn't mean rejecting what is, changing, "cleaning up"; sometimes it just means observing more closely. You are not too much for feeling deeply. The parts of you that crave love do not need to leave. We just need to look at them, as they've been asking for your attention for so long.
